Using 'My Files': Folders, Searching, and Bulk Actions

As your catalog of uploaded content grows, keeping it organized becomes essential. The My Files section of your CloudFam dashboard is a fully featured file manager designed to help you sort, find, and modify your content with ease.

Here is a guide to mastering your file manager using folders, search tools, and bulk actions.

1. Navigating the 'My Files' Interface

To access your catalog, click on My Files under the Management section on the left-hand sidebar. This page displays a comprehensive list of all your active files.

For each file, you can instantly view:

2. Creating and Managing Folders

Folders are the best way to keep different types of content separated (e.g., separating software updates from media files).

3. Finding Files (Search & Filters)

If you have hundreds or thousands of files, scrolling to find a specific one isn't practical.

4. Individual and Bulk Actions

CloudFam allows you to manage files one by one or in large groups to save time.

Individual Actions: On the far right of every file, you will find four action icons:

Performing Bulk Actions: If you need to move, delete, or generate links for multiple files simultaneously, use the bulk action checkboxes.

  1. Check the small box to the left of each file you want to manage.

  2. To select everything currently visible on your screen, click the master checkbox at the very top of the list column.

  3. Once multiple files are selected, bulk action options will appear, allowing you to move or delete all selected items with a single click.
